Anthony Nguyen

The first time Anthony Nguyen realized he had any talent for drawing was when he was about eight year old, copying pictures out of a video game manual. This led him to study animation in college, but he failed to break into the gaming industry as he had planned. Yet, he turned this adversity into an opportunity.

He began drawing again just before the pandemic hit as a way to practice and for his own personal enjoyment. But, when figure drawing moved online during the lockdown, it became a sort of lifeline and allowed him to work with models from all over the world. He has drawn models from many countries, but most prominently Argentina. Although he started down this road to keep his skills sharp, he discovered a community of artists and models who support each other in a niche space of the art world.
