Laurel Goddard Thomas

In Laurel Goddard Thomas’s figurative work, she examines issues that are uniquely human and strives to capture humanity’s constantly changing and evolving condition. She concerns herself with feelings, emotions, the struggles of mankind, our victories, and our growth and maturation as individuals. Her work crosses back and forth between reality and abstraction, mixing a variety of media to capture moments of life experience both from an individual and a societal view.

Laurel Goddard Thomas received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She began her career designing costumers fro stage, film, and television. Her artwork has been exhibited across the United States and Brazil. In 2017 one of her paintings became part of the Palm Springs Art Museum’s permanent collection.
