Rava Raab

Rava Raab is a New York City-based model that has been modeling nude for ten years. She is employed by numerous art schools and drawing classes, and works privately with painters, sculptors, and photographers. When not modeling, she serves as an art director, conducts nude modeling workshops, and leads consent-forward training for artists working with nude models for the first time. She has modeled one-on-one, in large groups, and as part of a performance in front of hundreds of spectators. She is very passionate about nude artwork and thinks the body is beautiful and silly, and she wishes there could be more non-erotic nude art in the world.

Rava says that modeling nude has given her an immense amount of confidence and gratitude for her body that she didn’t know before she started. She advocates for everyone to try out nude modeling, saying that “even on days when I’m not feeling great about how I look, modeling reminds me that the body can be a canvas for lines and shadow and geometry, or even a tool for students learning anatomy.” This allows her to shed the feeling that her body isn’t “good enough.”
